Dracula remains one of fiction’s most enduring characters, taking in hundreds of adaptations across multiple mediums, with the appetite for the world’s most famous vampire seemingly insatiable. But what makes Stoker’s creation so enduring – and what role did Derby itself play in the Count’s journey to fictional immortality? In this special evening event, we’ll be hosting an exciting evening featuring a superb panel of horror authors exploring the legacy of Dracula, as well as hearing from the Dracula Returns to Derby project team about the city’s part in the evolution of the character.
Featuring:
Horror legend Ramsey Campbell, JS Barnes, author of Dracula’s Child and Frankenstein’s Monster. Benjamin Kurt Unsworth, author of Into Wrack and Ruin
Tickets: £5 or FREE to attendees of Edge-Lit 11. Just add a ticket to your basket and login with the email address used when booking your Edge-Lit ticket and the system will recognise you as an Edge-Lit ticketholder and reduce the cost to £0 during checkout.
