Writing Modern Fairy Tales For The Stage And Screen

Looking at the popularity of the fairy tale for both stage and screen and its continued fascination and new interpretations for the modern audience. Examining the concept of fairy tale imagery from its older origins to the more modern depictions and styles in performance, and its timeless ability to connect with current storylines/social/political themes, which effectively link with the contemporary world. Considering how well-known fairy tale characters, and classic fairy tale plots find their way into the modern writing world, and how their long lasting frameworks and powerful themes can inspire and benefit our own writing process.

Saturday 25 November. 10:30am – 4:30pm.

Tickets: £25 (standard), £22.50 (concessions) & £20 (Under 18).
