Nightclub Max’s Kansas City had a huge impact on the music, fashion, and culture of New York City. It was there that Bowie first met Iggy, where Alice Cooper signed his first record deal, and where Blondie’s Debbie Harry worked as a waitress. This documentary Featuring revealing archive footage alongside interviews with those that were there and lived to tell the tale.
Also screening is short film Sid: The Final Curtain, a short film documenting the final live performance of Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious at Max’s Kansas City in September 1978 .
