British artists Jane & Louise Wilson are renowned internationally for their experimentation with film, video and photography. For QUAD’s opening exhibition, they created their most impressive installation yet.
Commissioned by QUAD, the exhibition was inspired by Derby’s industrial and cultural history, drawing on the depth and variety of the city’s past along with journey stories from international migrants living in Derby.
Louise Clements, Senior Curator at QUAD said:
“We wanted to create something truly special for the first exhibition within QUAD and Jane and Louise have done just that. It is fantastic for us to work with such high profile names and this work certainly attracted people from far and wide to Derby.”
This work was created with support from Smiths of Derby, Network Rail, The Henry Moore Foundation, Bombardier and Rolls-Royce.
