Writing For Stage And Screen

This 8 week course is for both beginners and more experienced writers, looking to develop a new idea/project for the stage or screen. Each session will cover a different part of the writing process, with practical workshop exercises, designed to help bring your story to life, alongside the opportunity to share readings of your work as it progresses towards completion, and to receive supportive, constructive feedback from the group.

The sessions will include working on Finding Inspiration, Creating a Plan, Character Development, Building a World or Sense of Space, Creating Dramatic Tension, and Mixing Fact and Fiction, considering the influences of real historical events and current social issues, upon our writing subject choices. The course will also cover how to effectively approach redrafting your work, preparing work for submission, and looking at opportunities for new writers.

Tickets: £100 (standard), £90 (concessions), £70 (16 – 25 year olds – Discount will apply at checkout)
