Starship Troopers is director Paul Verhoeven’s satirical adaptation of the Robert E. Heinlein novel. Set in a future where Earth is governed by the militaristic United Citizen Federation. When highly evolved intergalactic arachnids threaten the safety of the planet  high-school athlete Johnny Rico and three of his hometown friends join the fight. Following a traumatic journey through training they are shipped out to a far-off exoplanet hostile to face the overwhelming forces of the bug army. Will the group find a way to survive or end up as cannon fodder?
