When a charismatic gang leader is shot at a conclave meant to unite all the gangs in New York City, a troupe from Coney Island called the Warriors get the blame and are forced to run 27 miles across the city to get back to their own turf. Along the way the group will have to fight an escalating series of battles with colourful and improbable gangs like the Baseball Furies, the Turnbull ACs, The Orphans, The Electric Eliminators and all-female gang The Lizzies.

Writer/director Walter Hill’s (Southern Comfort, 48 Hrs.) film is a propulsive action classic, featuring an all-time great cast of made up “oh it’s that guy!” actors. Can you dig it?
