Tracey Meek: A Celebration in Colour

This exhibition will close at 2:30pm on Thursday 18 December to allow set-up for an event happening that evening.

A vibrant retrospective celebrating the life and work of British multimedia artist Tracey Meek. Spanning three decades, this exhibition showcases Tracey’s dynamic and distinctive style across painting, illustration, ceramics, and other media, with works kindly loaned by friends, family, and the wider community.

Artist Bio:

‘I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Derby working with a range of mediums: painting, ceramics, living sculpture, and immersive installation. My work is intuitive in both process and content, a tactile extension of myself and a reflection of my surroundings. Social engagement is an important part of my practice; I am interested in forming honest connections through creative intervention, with an emphasis on playful discovery.’
Tracey Meek, 2023

Following her tragic passing in November 2024, Tracey’s family and fellow artists have come together to celebrate her extraordinary creativity. This exhibition offers a glimpse into her artistic process and pays tribute to Tracey’s lasting impact and legendary creative spirit.
