In early 80s Stockholm, two 13 year old girls decide to form a punk band and enlist a shy Christian girl from school who plays classical guitar to join them. The three are not going to let their lack of instruments, the fact that they have only written one song, or adults’ insistence that punk is dead stop them living out their punk dreams. Lukas Moodysson’s film, was based on an autobiographical graphic novel by Coco Moodysson. The result is a heartfelt drama which shows that anyone, anywhere can be a punk, if they just put their mind to it.
