QUAD is delighted to present We Feed The UK, a major national exhibition grown by The Gaia Foundation in collaboration with artists, poets, farmers, growers and communities across the UK.

Bringing together photography and poetry, the exhibition shares stories of people working closely with land, sea and soil, restoring relationships often fractured by industrial food systems. Through these powerful collaborations, the exhibition reimagines farming, food production and ecological care through resilience, justice and regeneration.

This presentation at QUAD features works by Arpita Shah, Sophie Gerrard and Johannah Churchill, alongside poetry by Zena Edwards, Iona Lee and Kate Fox.

Visitors will encounter stories of women in Scotland reclaiming the custodianship of seed, farming and food; of Black-led collectives in London sustaining ancestral growing knowledge and community harvests; and of soil restoration projects in Northumberland rebuilding the ecosystems that nourish life above ground.

At a time of ecological and social crisis, We Feed The UK offers another way of seeing: food not as commodity, but as relationship; farming not as extraction, but as collaboration with the living world.

We invite you to join us for an afternoon of conversation, connection and celebration, and to discover how food can heal people and place.

Produced by The Gaia Foundation with over forty national partners.
