QUAD receives £1.4m funding from Arts Council England for the period 2023 to 2026

QUAD in Derby announces £1.4m funding over 3 years from Arts Council England  

QUAD joins National Portfolio Organisations accepted for 2023-2026 funding round 

QUAD in Derby have announced an award of £1.4m funding from Arts Council England for the period 2023 to 2026. 

The award follows a successful application to join the National Portfolio Organisations, part of the Arts Council England 2023-26 Investment Programme, which was announced on Friday 4th November. 

The funding will enable organisations to continue to undertake Arts Council England Let’s Create Strategy, a ten-year vision for the future of creativity and culture, which aims to give every person access to a remarkable range of high-quality cultural experiences. Investment in the organisations for the 2023-26 Investment Programme will start from 1st April 2023.  

QUAD CEO Vivek Malhotra commented “We are delighted and relieved to have secured funding support from Arts Council England for the next funding period from April 2023. This demonstrates continued faith in QUAD’s arts, cultural and creative programmes.”    

Peter Knott, Area Director for Arts Council England said: “Derby QUAD brings creative media, visual arts and photography to the heart of the city and we’re delighted to be investing in them over the next three years. From their internationally recognised FORMAT festival to workshops for local people, Derby QUAD has shown that they are committed to providing arts for everyone, and it will be great to see them go from strength to strength.

QUAD is Derby’s Cultural hub and a registered charity, which opened to the public on 26th September 2008, and since then has been at the heart of Derby’s cultural scene as well as being internationally recognised for providing quality and excellence in the Arts.  

Its facilities include Cinemas, Gallery, Café Bar and Workspaces. The venue provides contemporary art exhibitions, films and events and integrate digital media work that are inspirational, innovative and inclusive. QUAD also provides creative participatory and learning opportunities in a safe and welcoming environment that accessible for all and seek to make a positive impact on peoples’ lives.
