QUAD’s film course offers a chance for a career in the Film industry
BFI Film Academy at QUAD for ages 16-19

A course for young people passionate about film will take place at QUAD, Derby in October. The BFI Film Academy is open to young people aged sixteen to nineteen offering an opportunity to find out more about how to make a career in the film industry.

The BFI Film Academy course is a chance to gain invaluable experience working alongside industry professionals, including hands-on filmmaking experience to develop practical knowledge and skills. Working as part of the BFI Film Academy accreditation, students will work towards a Silver Arts Award, they will also be offered exclusive opportunities, advice and professional development on completing the course.

The course runs on Saturdays (10am to 4:30pm), from 8th October for 14 weeks, excluding Christmas Holidays. There is a welcoming session 5pm to 7pm on Friday 7th October. There are no qualifications required, and there is support for educational or disability needs. Course fees are £25, and applications close on Saturday 24th September at 5pm, places will be offered o suitable participants on a first come first served basis.
