Open Call: Your Time in Derby
How do you remember Derby? What places, people, or everyday moments have played a significant part in your life or stayed with you over the years?
QUAD is inviting members of the public to submit photographs that capture your personal experiences of life in the city—past or present—for an exhibition launching in QUAD’s Extra Gallery Spaces in September 2025.
Whether it’s a family day out at one of Derby’s spectacular parks, your most memorable night out in Bluenote or perhaps your wedding day at Derby’s registry office; We are looking for photographs that reflect your most important memories in Derby. The exhibition aims to create a snapshot of the most special and celebrated highlights of Derby and the moments the city has helped create in people’s lives. In a city where people often feel ‘nothing ever happens’, QUAD wants to create a reminder of how special Derby can truly be.
Selected images will be exhibited in QUAD’s Extra Gallery Spaces.
What We’re Looking For:
- Physical or digital Photographs showing your best memories and moments spent in Derby.
- Submissions can be from any period—recent or historical.
- A short caption or description to describe the image or your memories of Derby is welcome, but optional.
- Submissions in the form of digital files, scans or photos of physical files should be sent via email to submissions@derbyquad.co.uk. If you have physical images that you would like to submit but are unable to scan, please email us to arrange submission.
Submission Deadline: 31 August 2025, 11:59 PM
