Citizens of Robot World Open Call

QUAD and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) invite you to become Citizens of Robot World for Robot Day 2021. This open call is available to those of all ages and submissions will be curated into an online immersive space that is Robot World launching on 6th November, and available to view in QUAD’s Resource Area.

What is an open call you may ask? This is an invitation for you to make something Robot related along the theme of “Building a better world”. What you make is up to you! You can then send it to us or join in at one of our workshops. We will then take what you’ve made and add it to the digital world, which you will be able to view online from 6th Nov.

You can submit in any format and size, including 3D models, 2D drawings and paintings, video and animation. Please ensure any digital submission are 1080p or above, and screen resolution (72dpi). Also keep an eye out for upcoming workshops and event days to help make your robotic creations, including 3D modelling workshops, photoshop design workshops and scanning days (TBA) where you can bring in your physical makes for digital scanning.
Submit your design to and using the subject “Robot World”. Please include your name, age and city, as well as any information you’d like to tell us about your creation. You can also send your physical design, whether in 2D or 3D form, to: Robot Day, Derby QUAD, Cathedral Quarter, Market Place, Derby, DE1 2AS.

Take part during 9th August to 15th October with the online exhibition opening from 6th November 2021.
