Escape from your living room to QUAD as we spend the night watching the world through the eyes of one of the world’s most interesting genre directors, John Carpenter.
We begin in the post-apocalyptic world of New York 1997 as Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) has to rescue the President from The Duke (Isaac Hayes) in Escape From New York (1981).
We then hit head to the Antarctic as a shape shifting alien wrecks havoc in a remote science station in The Thing (1982). The tone gets lighter as Jack Burton (Russell) comes up against kung fu and ancient magic in Big Trouble In Little China (1986) before wrestler-turned actor Roddy Pipper sees some strange things through his sun glasses in They Live (1988).
We end the night where we began with Snake heading into a wild future version of LA in Escape From LA (1996).
