Derby Book Festival: Nina Stibbe – Went to London, Took the Dog: A Diary

Ten years since her prize-winning book, Love, Nina, comes Nina’s diary of her return to London in her 61st year.

After leaving London 20 years ago, Nina is back with her dog, Peggy, lodging in writer Deborah Moggach’s house in Camden for ‘a year-long sabbatical’.  It’s a break from married life in Cornwall –  or even perhaps a fresh start altogether. Nina is not quite sure yet.

As she explores the city she once called home, there’s a steady walk-on cast of literary names as well as her children to help her find her feet in the metropolis. It reunites us with the inimitable voice of Love, Nina, as the writer becomes ‘a proper adult’ at last.
